Namaste (noun)
An ancient Vedic expression of respectful greeting.
Welcome to a new installment of NYCTR Review, and another Brooklyn-oriented food spot destination, Namaste.
Located on 195 5th Ave (between Union Street and Berkley Place), caught between the epicenter of Lower Brooklyn.
With over 20 years in business, Namaste is the definition of ‘authenticity’ in Indian cuisine.
Since becoming a vegetarian, there’s been one realization above any other: rice matters. The Jalfrazzi rice, cooked in a blend of spices, and yummy lentils to accompany it make for an appetizing day. Appetizing korma to appease one’s stomach and taste buds. As pleasing as the main course dishes are, they also offer a buffet special! All-you-can-eat, for about $16. A definite deal! Customers also have the choice of whether to eat in their front area or the outback patio. We highly recommend them to anyone strolling by Park Slope, Carroll Gardens, or Bedford Stuyvesant.
NYCTR Rating: 5 out of 5. The etiquette of menu choice, whether non-vegetarian or vegetarian alike, with plentiful dishes to choose from. Oh, and the buffet!
