An Editor’s Voice: Time & Potency

.

Thanks for visiting our site and reading NECTR’s first Official article!

Since the announcement of the NECTR channel in January 2025 (Happy New Year!) The context of what we’d ‘like’ to write about has evolved, providing a vast array of topics, time, and space to think and pantomime what constitutes official ‘NECTR’ content.

‘An Editor’s Voice’ has completely original writing segments. These articles focus mostly on personal perspectives, experiences, and critical advice for whoever so needs it, from people who’ve been there before. The segments will also be used as a way to vent and ‘spread one’s wings’ into the realm of writing; an open field for spats, tips, and personal opinions rather than factual information or specific details. A chance to write with depth, not statistics.

These are words and thought processes I would have appreciated before I took the initiative towards entrepreneurship. Especially as an already multi-faceted curator who HAS to demonstrate many, if not most, abilities at all times for the sake of execution. Compared to prior years (not for self-flattering purposes, but for hiree competency sake and guest writers alike), 2025 has proven to be the most challenging. As now is not the time to sing and dance, but to demonstrate the ability to package the routing into video format and sell it.

So, before I begin

You’re welcome, because to be honest, any other entrepreneur would decide to leave you in the dark as to how they found their light; not necessarily out of spite, but perhaps from embarrassment of speaking towards a crowd of deaf ears, or the lack of proper platforming for conveying their message/product/content/idea. ‘Who gives a fuck?’ someone might ask, and it might surprise you, but maybe the B-rated listener with half a mind, and a super, dope, amazing piece of intellectual property to generate millions from.

Also, because now would be the opportune time to announce NECTR’s timepiece + fragrance reviews section. Along with a couple more articles to launch between May and June 2025.

Anyway, I leave you with the rest of the article, and with much thanks again,

Castle.

An Editor’s Voice: Time & Potency.

The main idea behind a schedule, a calendar, or an agenda book is to get things done, and to get them done on time – whether it’s a future event or a project with a due date. These are just some common day-to-day tools and concepts at our disposal, things that have slowly become common practice and even household items, but they’re also things we seem to take for granted…

How many minutes, or hours, could we add up from every idle moment we have or will ever experience? God and the analyst know. How many of those times are we, ourselves, at fault, and how many times because of a fragile network? Timekeeping is crucial for achieving a goal/deadline. Why is this important? Because, with time keeping, a savvy entrepreneur could potentially, yes, ‘do,’ much, but ‘make,’ oh so much more. It’s important because timekeeping can make a difference between 4- and 5-figure figures for you or your business.

How many brick-and-mortar shops lack a web presence, let alone offer a web store chock-full of their inventory? Now think about how many people pass by the same businesses on a day-to-day basis. Maybe as customers or bystanders, who knows? (God, the analyst, and the store owner probably do. The number of people a web store could attract for ‘that’ business owner will probably be three, five, to ten times higher than the physical store they run; always. Even while they sleep, (especially while they sleep, the internet has no closing hours.)

Potential of Digital Content

The potential online reach is definitely in the millions. Probably more than most corners of any street in the world. Put into perspective. If your thrift shop in the middle of rural Oklahoma is failing, it’s probably due to the lack of a dense population! Think of how a digital storefront could be the crutch your business needs to THRIVE, not just survive.

Say you have no inventory, you are a curator of intellectual property. Like an E-zine or web app, and the ‘right’ opportunity presents itself for some sort of scaling within your business, BUT… a team member flakes, or the work never gets done because the right,’ freelancer wasn’t hired for an outsourced requirement. Or you/as an associate, have become ‘too lazy,’ and won’t write down key information that might become crucial at some later point. These are depressing times during collaborations, no? Where there’s ‘little to do about nothing,’ because the proper execution isn’t met, or the effort toward completing a given project is null and void. Take some time, even 10 to 15 minutes, to study, research, and jot down key notes that you feel are important.

These are also dilemmas and problems I’ve dealt with while building my repertoire as a performer, instrumentalist, songwriter, producer, sound engineer, etc. There were times when I had no producer, graphic designer, web developer, or illustrator (who we will always appreciate ‘hello’s,’ from!), yet the biggest thing I learned was how to tackle your ‘Now what?’ Or worse – ‘What to do’s’ when nothing gets done, or someone’s always tardy. (Worse, because nothing gets done; late is a better exception!)

Example

I can’t play the piano as well as I’d like… ‘Now what?’ or, ‘nothing got done/every(one)thing’s late on piano. Either you learn to play it yourself, or you wait until you come across someone who can; good luck. What’s the most realistic way to answer, ‘now what?’ Naturally, one would expect, ‘keep practicing…’  as cliché as it gets. Sadly, many people fret or quit, never desiring to play the instrument again. BUT… some might surprise you and remain amateur as they are, or better, completely satisfied.

FIRST STEP

‘but..’ from the paragraph above; probably the only positive way of using that word… ‘But’ is the enemy! ‘I’ve said I’d practice the piano for an hour, as my ‘New Year’s resolution, BUT… I’m always late to piano class by half an hour… ‘I said I’d quit drinking soft drinks and french fries, BUT.. they’re too good.” Learn to analyze what comes before and after the, but!’ ‘I want a cold can of soda, BUT I know a seltzer water is a better alternative…” and rationalize whether it’s an excuse or something you really can’t do/ can’t get done, because, with gauging the element of, ‘but’ you will start saying, ‘and’ and get things done.

STEP TWO

We’re human. We can’t do it all, we don’t know it all. Like your taste buds’ enjoyment of sugary treats. ‘I can’t play the piano as well as I’d like, but that’s ok, I’ll practice until I’m as good as I want to be.” Is the best alternative if things don’t work out, and that’s ok! Outsourcing is always a logical alternative to having a mental breakdown or quitting/postponing projects.

STEP THREE

If you really want to get something technical down pat, you should ‘think, write, then read it out loud for yourself and practice until it’s perfected.’ Instead of daydreaming about an idea and letting it slip, think it through. Pick up books and devise a solopreneur route. Let it marinate within the compounds of the mind until it’s time to write it out. When we think, and then write, our brain naturally reads the context over a couple of times, meaning we probably have processed the damn thing three or five times by the time we finish writing it down. The brain would naturally give the impression before it’s ‘impressed,’ so, impress yourself with step three the next time you need to remember something critical. Although the first couple of paragraphs give the impression we’re discussing tips on not ‘forgetting things’ or ‘self-sufficiency,’ this is not why we’re here.

What drives me to write this blog post, and revamp the site, especially as NECTR-driven content, a channel I was pondering about (while its web hosting server collected e-dust), was because of the exact problem we’re discussing – being human. Ha, joking. The real problem is not making the most out of my own time, especially when potent, with minutes slipping away, and knowing so.

Why?

Because I am truly ahead of my time. I was busy developing, instilling, and then applying techniques for new curator assets I currently possess, such as audio engineering and audio post-production. Because, as an audio engineer, producer, and songwriter, I know what is missing already, artistry-wise, before I sit down as a marketing manager or analyst once the content rolls out. So why let time slip? The only reason anyone should do so is that they’re ridiculously, embarrassingly ahead already, and they’re human, and some rest might be nice. As someone who’s done a 360-degree job and developed personal skills along with job-specific skills, things someone could apply for a 4- or potentious 5-figure job/project. Royalty checks are real. So is the mind. So, if that mind were to be real with itself and realize how capable it is, especially with intellectual property, articles and websites like these arise from the abyss of the web.

Think of a high-traffic e-commerce site, with a digital product moving at the rate of ten downloads for 299.99, every hour. That’s almost $3000, and a definite four figures in an hour. Nothing illegal, no scamming about his work, just a digital content curator who’s savvy and clever with his own craft. Back in 2017-2019 (sometime between then), I hit a personal webdev record of 40,000 organic site visitors in one month at ‘benniecastle.com,’ mostly a fitness & dietary-oriented blog. Back then, the idea was to craft a space, learn WordPress mechanics, and achieve personal fitness goals, not to attract 40,000 visitors. I had nothing for sale, no ’99 cent diet plans, weight loss training programs, and definitely had no self-branded workout equipment, just free advice and backed up information with each hyperlink.

A mind is a terrible thing to waste

but ‘time’ is so much more costly… with time, we can reverse such said, ‘brain shrinkage,’ no? Had I written e-pubs of workout routines and cookbooks to sell for those 40,000 visitors, then maybe I’d be a millionaire by now ($6.99 times 40,000 = roughly $280K one month, sue me.) Back to our hypothesis guy, who just made four figures in an hour, vs. some folks who HAVE to work for one or two months to realize the equivalence (because they work on someone else’s time and effort). Now what?’ Well, either you, yourself,

A.) Get a 2nd job.

B.) Get a better job.

C.) Find a way to pay yourself and work for yourself like the hypothesis guy.

D.) Cross your fingers and buy a lottery ticket every morning.

E.) Become complacent.

This is an ultimatum for most people. Why write about this, anyway? Because I am my own boss now. I am the one who decides whether things get done and released as content, not Facebook or the app store (unless it’s an app for Facebook or the app store). And I would be a hypocrite, as someone who missed his chance to be a hypothesis guy. This writing is for thinkers, and future employees/freelancers of mine; We appreciate you.

So far, AUTEM TODAY ™

– Released four official publications with two more underway. (Over 4.3K downloads so far.)

-The 14-track album (originally intended as a 4-5 track EP, after +7.0K downloads on demos and various takes.)

-The Franchise Page and the Official Autem Today Website.

– NECTR

Sure, these are things I applied along the way as I set up various platforms, all in the name of and in pursuit of autonomy. Why? To maintain and run them, I would need the few strategies mentioned earlier first. In order to achieve true potency for a mainly bootstrapped set of works (soon to be financially funded and generative project) and provide advantageous content/product for a niche audience, first. Those were some quick tips for any task, so you’re welcome! Also, now would be the opportune time to announce NECTR’s timepiece + fragrance review section. Expect some more articles to launch between May and June 2025.

Sincerely,

Castle.
