NYCTR Review 002: Brooklyn’s Best Pizza


The pizza. What to say about such a globally acceptable dish? Probably everything under the sun has been since history claims its origin sometime during the reign of Darius the Great. (6th century BC) Off the crude basis of soldiers cooking their ‘slices’ upon their shields, under the sun. Oh, the irony.

This truly timeless dish, which we all love and are fairly familiar with, has evolved alongside modern man for as long as we’d like to admit.

Better yet, Brooklyn’s Best Pizza, where it reaches its peak in the food chain as a pizza that talks for itself (hopefully not walk with its lack of a vertebrae), as most presumably, Brooklyn’s Best Pizza! Located in Williamsburg, 33 Havemeyer Street, is probably correct in its namesake!

We’ve ordered and sat down at the cozy establishment enough times to appreciate its authenticity and savouriness.

Although this is not a place for cheapskates, this is the place for the hungry man with taste and taste buds alike. (And for the ones with the comprehension that a delicious plain slice is definitely worth $4!). Ever since converting to veganism, simple dishes and pastries such as the pizza and the Sicilian slice have become rudimentary foods. They are loaded with carbs, protein and provide the stomach with enough calories to suffice.

GREAT Pizza from Best Pizza Williamsburg does the trick, EVERY time. So, the next time you decide to board the L train into Brooklyn, don’t be shy. Stop by Best Pizza Williamsburg, as this is a super convenient spot for Brooklynite travelers. We give them a 5 out of 5, due to the amazingness of their craft and the ability to sit down and enjoy one’s meal at a ‘feel-good vibe’ pace.
